Anybody been in that area lately? I'm talking about the road that runs from Kingsvale to the 97C. Last year in September, the road was in awful shape....even the Caretaker for the campsites mentioned how bad it had been for most of the summer. Just wondering what to expect... Thanks.

I remember hearing something (a while back) but don't remember WHO said it...something about a NEW road going up Mt McGuire... Would be welcome, as the two existing roads are crap. Borden Creek FSR goes as far as the washed out bridge at 6km, and the rock-face just past this, slid onto the road...

Took a drive up Tamihi today...looking to see what sort of damage this new IPP is creating. Found none. On the other hand, what I did find was a NEW road that goes 13 km in, complete with repaired bridges and washouts...even followed Parish hill for about a km or so. But never saw any evidence...
