Heres a pic of the new ride , i am quite surprised as to how well it runs right out of the box without any jetting work . there might be some small changes after i get 10 or 15 hours on the motor to make sure its nicely broke in.
The bike is listed at the same weight as my 09 was , but this bike FEELS very light . Im not sure why , maybe the Ohlins suspension , but even that is firm right now as it too needs breaking in, But im telling you it feels light yet still planted on the front. The FMF Q Stealth is a very quiet silencer and yet it actually increases power , all with an approved spark arrester. So far no firmament issues with rad guards or hand guards except the Renthal Twin Wall bars are a bit wide , so i had to trim 5/16" off of them in order to work with the Bonz mounts. Dont know if i like the bend of these bars yet as im used to the Hebo Fat Bars , but we'll see what time brings. I took the horn off , and yes it came out of the box with a working horn on it. I doubt Christophe Nambotin uses a horn when he passes David Knight , but it was there with all the other kit for road use including a 40 tooth rear sprocket. Dave Fair did a nice job of getting it set up for me and even did a swap for some of the things i didnt want for the bike for some Bling Bling i did.
Btw , there is still 2 not spoken for yet , well at least on Thursday there was.
He got in 10 of these , and considering that some 75 of these went straight to France (Nambotin is the French Champion) that left only 125 for the rest of the world and Gassers are very popular in Europe and Australia . That says something about Dave's and Gas Gas's commitment to Canada. More pics later
