Last year, once at the event, everyone wanted a hoodie.
But they had to be pre ordered.

If you want a hoodie, long sleeve T shirt or extra T shirts you must order using the mail in registration form.

Hoodies are a bargain at only $35.

Sorry, we don't order extras to sell on site..

We get many private messages. Thanks for your interest.
Many are answered by the first post in this thread.;) (scroll up)

Here's a sample for your info:

1) Can I ride an unlicensed dirt bike on the A loop?

No. All motorcycles must be licensed and insured.

2) Can I bring my kids and their bikes?

Sure! As long as they are 16 or older riding a licensed motorcycle.

3) Is there a family rate?

No. One entry/waiver per rider.

4) If I posted on the pre-sign up thread, do I still need to register by mail?

Yes, or you don't get in.

5) Can I bring my spouse if she doesn't ride a bike?

Yes!

6) Does (he/she) still need to register?

No, unless they want a t-shirt and Saturday night dinner.

7) Can I bring my dog?

No pets on site. Campground rules, not ours.

8) Must I be a member of BCORMA to enter?

No, but we encourage joining!

9) Will the weather be SUNNY?

Yes, it has always been sunny for the Orca Run, however it could also rain, so be prepared! :help

The Campground is a few kilometers past Koksilah Provincial Park
on the (Old) Renfrew Rd, west of Shawnigan Lake Village.
4051 Renfrew Rd.

The last 5 kms are gravel FSR.

Note: rcmp patrol this section of gravel road - it is considered residential so please keep the noise and speed down. Thanks. :)

TWISTY paved MOTORCYCLE ROUTE to Campground from Swartz Bay... (by Submann) :)

moz-screenshot-11.png
Directions:

Come off of ferry, get in right lane.
Take first exit right onto Wain Rd.
Stop sign - turn left onto West Saanich Rd.
Drive into Brentwood to traffic light (sorry) and turn right onto Wallace drive.
Turn right onto Willis Pt. Rd.
Turn Left onto Ross Durance Rd.
It becomes Millstream Lake Rd.
Stop sign - Turn right (still Millstream Lake Rd.)
Stop sign - Turn left onto Millstream Rd.
Turn right onto Finlayson Arm Rd.
Use caution, super twisty and the road surface degrades with steep downhill switchbacks
You pop out in Goldstream Park
Stop sign - Turn right onto Trans Canada highway
Turn Left onto Shawnigan Lake Rd.
At bottom of hill turn left onto West Shawnigan Lake Rd.
Turn left onto Renfrew Rd.
Keep right toward Koksilah Park.
Road turns to gravel
Arrive at Campsite on right.

I didn't put distances on here as that would take ALL the fun out of it. Hopefully we can post the GPS files for download.

Sorry but I did route it past one traffic light. We only turn right there so it's just a glancing blow.

BCORMA information courtesy of JavaJude :
------------------------------------------------------

Hi All

I will be at the Orca Run next weekend and I will have the BCORMA Trail Pass package available for sale. The $40 Trail Pass package includes:
 1. A 2010 BCORMA Trail Pass
 2. A reflective DSBC decal
 3. A mini DSBC decal
 4. A DSBC key chain
 5. A DSBC pocket calendar
DSBC supports the BCORMA Trail Pass Program as the funds go towards the building and maintance of the trails in BC that we enjoy riding. None of the funds go to the gov't. The funds are collected by and distributed to off-road motorcycle clubs.

I will also have DSBC ball caps ($15)and toques ($15) available for sale at the Orca Run. Just come and find me or one of the "Bus" people and we'll take your money and give you great stuff.

The rally campsite is open Friday at noon. Friday and Saturday night is included in your entry fee.

Riders are welcome to stay extra days before or after the rally but must pay the usual camping fees.

In case anyone arrives earlier keep in mind certain areas need to be available for sponsor displays, registration, food services and committee tables and camping.

These might not be well marked so please set up further afield or you might be asked to move.

The general reserved area to avoid is the large grassy section near the cookshack and stage on both sides of the road, plus the first few treed campsites in that area.

Thanks!
