I would like to thank all the people fortheir hard work to pull offthe first Vancouver Island Orca Run. For their first event I thought it was awesome, even though they hadwinter conditions to deal with while route planning. I thought the A/B route was fantastic and has me wanting to go back for more to see what else that area has to offer. It definitely put my skills to the test. The weather was perfect even if the temperature dropped down a little bit low on Friday night:shock:. It was great to see a lot of familiar faces to trade stories with and to meet a whole bunch of new riders. I'm not sure how many riders were registered for the event but it seemed like a lot.

I look forward to next years event and hope I can help out.

Yes, Thank you everyone for hosting such a fun event!! That "B" loop was definately a challenge but I enjoyed every minute of it!! Looking forward to next year without the frost on the bike in the morning...:spl:

Thanks to the organizers and the local riders for making the event go so well, and

coughing up some of their favourite trails. It's great when a few riders can jump on

with a local and not have to use the charts to get around.

Great ride, allready looking forward to the next Island adventure.

Had a great weekend!

We were eating breakfast in Mill Bay when the rain started.

I little wet, but we all made it home to the mainland,safe.

That was a good workout and a lotta fun, a top notch event. Even the weather gods were good for the most part untill my ride home.... I ended up riding about 250KM in a steady downpour untill around Woss and then the sun came out.....

Thank to all involved in arranging this event and thanks to Julius for playing tourguide for us Saturday afternoon.....

The riding buddies I had met at orca were a fantastic bunch.
I really enjoyed the b loop and the great camp site.

Thanks to all involved. Countless hours organizing the event did not go unnoticed.
It was my first organized event. While I'm dead tired today, I'm looking forward to the next event even more now!

I had a great group to ride with...thanks John, Léo, Jim and Dave. The executive decision to quench our thirst at the Lake was a the best decision of the day.

Loz was not as visible, but did a huge amount of work laying out the B(A) loop along with the others mentioned. :tup: (And others not mentioned too!)

Fantastic Job Guys!

Came over on the bus and had an absolute hoot. Many thanks to all the organizers for their hard work. Everyone I spoke to was having a blast and maintained an ear to ear grin the whole weekend.

Many thanks to the slimylimey who loaned this dumbass a sleeping bag after I failed to pack mine.

Los for keeping his pack of mainlander goslings pointed down the right trail. TG6 and Windaddiction for giving a helpful shove up the hill when needed.

You have created a monster. Expect a horde next time.

Hey Everybody...Good News !!

WOW! What a blast ! :dr:

I think the Sun, the moon, and the stars all lined up for us on Saturday. I still can't believe that the weekend before we were final flagging one of the 'B' loops in the snow. The turn around in the weather was spectacular! The camp site was just funky enough for everyone to let their hair down, and awesome enough to suit our needs, and in just the right freakin' location to launch some GREAT rides from! CHEERS to Sunny Daze Riverside Camp !! :hb:

From our host's at Sunny Daze; "DSBC is welcome here any time!!" and "what a great group to have in our campground!". Nothing but positive words!

A round of applause to all the participants of the ORCA Run. :tup:Way ta go one and all !!
