Just finished up on the purchase of 2 acres of Barren land at Deka lake, off of highway 24 in the caribou, the intentions are to build an adventure riders campsite and destination. there are hundreds of Kms of riding in this area and will spend the next year or so building the sites and doing recon on riding in this area, my main focus will be on the European market. but would like some feed back on the locals also. in the future we hope to host some very interesting rides and gatherings of like minded people. diverdown. Hacked out in Kamloops

Is this meant to be a wilderness oasis for the weary travelers, or will it be a full-service "campground" type of setup for paying customers?

I've been in and around the Deka, Drewry area...some nice riding to be had!

You'll likely see the wife and I as well. We know the Shuswap/Adams Lake area reasonably well but the Deka Lake area beckons!

Diverdown,

Great to have a fellow DSer in the area. I have a place just down the road at Sheridan Lake and have been riding the trails and back roads for many years. Let's plan on hooking up next year and I can show you around.

Nice offer, great to have a welcoming face and a safe place when you're far from home, in need of repairs or a rest.

I haven't been out that way since 2011. Keep us informed of your recon adventures!

Here is my last adventure out that way.

Nice! I am just building up a sprinter camper van/dirt bike hauler and need a 2015 destination. How much will you charge for camping? Want me to bring a chainsaw to help out? Oh, if I wanted to ride just trails, can I bring the NON-street legal dirt bike, or do bikes need to be street legal.
