I think this refers to off road bikes You have two options. A plate as on your road bike or a sticker , which you mount on the fork

It does say you can mount the number plate on your fork. It isn't clear if that number plate referred to to is for off road vehicles, or those covered under the MVA.

Very helpful. Yes, I suppose I could, but that seems rather expensive and a waste of my time, which is why I was posting in the hopes of some clarification from those more fluent in legalese.

The OHV sticker plates I got for my kids' bikes are the same size as a standard plate -- if I put them on the fork of a TTR110, it would go around it about 8 times and not one single character would be legible. The decals definitely are not intended to be put on forks.

The OHV decals do in fact fit a full size dirt bike fork kenf. But I can see what you mean with a ttr fork leg. I believe putting it some where on the bike that would be visible would be acceptable, as far as I've heard.

My recollection of the regulations is "The plate must be visible" I was told by the ORVJAG head that the plate can be "mounted anywhere where it is visible" front back or side. Must be kept clear of mud and other debri. Yes a fork decal would make sense but we all know the government does not always make sense the first time around. Make sure to post over on the BCORMA site, if they dont hear anything how can we expect them to act on anything?

If any of us were really fluent in legalease I am sure they would not be offering it up on a forum. Your best bet is call ICBC and ask for an interpretation.Any of us can give you our opinion, but it is not worth crap when the cop gives you the ticket. In my humble opinion, this section of the law was 1005% brought in for only for the OHV sticker.
