OK got it

Have you guys tried to get to Hicks Lake from Ruby CreeK. There use to be an FSR but it was washed out some years ago and I have never been back

I think I will use this for the route back

TT

Back in 2007 & 2008 I spent a considerable amount of time trying to do that. It seems that once you are in the Hicks Lake road system, there is no way out. I know the washout you are talking about.

One other thing. The Garnet Creek Road (which connects to American Creek) is wash out as well. Too bad, because it used to go to Harrison East. Once you get to Ruby Creek, you are pretty much comitted to the highway.

Tom & I are hammering out the plan for leaving the lower mainland towards Princeton on Friday (July 27th).

The current thought is to depart the 'Horn of Plenty' cafe (Esso gas station) in Aggasiz at 09:00. We'll head north up Harrison East through the Kookipi to Boston Bar (Fuel). Then Ustlis and Lawless to come out at Murray Lakes on the Coq; then our usual blast to Tulameen (fuel) and in behand China Ridge to Princeton (fuel & beer).

Please post here if you plan on joining us!

I know this is a very late post but I had a blast on this ride last year with my bro from SA. If there is still room to join I'd like to do this again and ride up from Aggasiz with you guys. Is there last minute space in Princeton?

Yes. I'll make sure there's a couch for you, Lane.

See you BEFORE 09:00 Friday!

Hats off to Wes and everyone involved in putting together the Routledge run 2012 ! Had a great time, and it truly was an adventure !

Left at 6:30 am Friday, was back at 8:00 pm Sat. Shredded 1009 kms, on 990 CCs, in 36 hours - and experienced a whole lot of lunacy, from screamin' fast FSRs, to waist deep stream crossings, to rocky washed out double track, and 2 track trails up and over the mountain top !

Stay tuned for pics and videos of the madness !

Thanks guys, for the guided tour Harrison East to Boston Bar, then Boston Bar to Tulameen!
The Routledge adventure ride was great, and the ride home was casual, but I made good time.
great week-end!

Thanks Wes and the gang for setting up another great weekend riding. The river crossing was a highlight and a lot of fun. Thanks to the caterers too for the amazing food and to the sponsors for the generous prizes. I had a great ride home back via East Harrison Lake. I'll put up photo's later.

Great Weekend Of Riding 2012 Routledge

Great Weekend Of Riding 2012 Routledge

Another epic weekend of riding, all dirt all the time.

Friday July 27 2012
Our riding weekend started Mike D and myself left the Tamihi campground 0700
Up the Chilliwack River Valley to Chipmunk on what I can only describe as a perfect morning for riding.
Up Chipmunk Creek FSR
Then down Bridle Falls FSR, a short 25 foot shale slide required to have a single track trail built before we could continue
Meet the rest of the gang at 0900 at Horn of Plenty Harrison
Quick and dusty ride up Harrison East FSR over Kookipi to Nahatlatch FSRs to Boston Bar for a quick gas up
Up Anderson FSR where we split up some did Spius FSR while the others did Utslits FSR
All meet up at the Coquihalla Murray Lake Turn off
Followed the TCT on the East side of the Coq to Lawless FSR
Lawless FSR to Murray Lakes then followed old mining grade down to Tulameen
Tulameen up past the gun club to the top of the range the down the East side of Snow Patch
Finally into Princeton to the Princeton Castle Resort
Signed in for the Routledge Run, which got us a free beer
Total 360 kms
I will post the track when I get it downloaded

Followed the TCT towards Tulameen but at Otter Lake Park we took a old mining grade West up the mountain followed a bunch of trails and back to Tullameen for fuel and lunch
Now on to the fun part, followed the quad trail on the East side above the highway to Coalmont
Crossed the Tulameen River and followed the old cable tram up to the Coal Mine
Connected to Arrastra Creek FSR to Badger Hill which connects to the Whipsaw Trail Lots of Elevation Gain
South on Whipsaw Trail to Wells Lake and continued on to the Whipsaw FSR

Really enjoyed the saturday ride with you all. Great dinner after the ride too thanks to the organizers

The Coalmont Hotel was a happening place saturday night. Best pick up line of the night used by the locals was..."wow you have all your teeth" If you want to use that line on the locals it is "wow you have all your tooth"

Could someone please post the picture of the moose?
