Just answering some questions so I thought I would post them for everyone

> A) Is there still room left to sign up? If so how do handle the money end of
> things.

You can send the money through the DSBC Store www.thestore.dualsportbc.com or just get the money to me, I live in the Fleetwood Area 8757 154A Street
> B) Where is Poison Mountain...........I think it's in the Cariboo?
Cariboo is right I hope to have some maps posted after I get back from Californias Sheetiron DS
> C) Do you really need to go 300+ km on one tank.....I have a 4.25Gallon

> Acerbis on mine and can go at least 235-250kms hwy but never tapped it dry
> yet. Do you carry extra gas tanks or something. Do you think I could make it
> on just the main tank? What is the gear ratios on your bikes............I
> run the stock 14/47?

Pretty close, if you have the big tank you should be OK, but you will need the extra if you get lost. No I do not carry extra gas nore do I think you will. I run stock gearing on my DRZ400e 15/42 I guess you will be in my mirror on the highway.

> D) Is that 300+ kms one way to the cabin and if so do you have gas there
> waiting to re-fuel?

We have aranged fuel at the cabin, it will be expensive but we will not have to ride to Goldbridge. I think everyone will have to pitch in about $10.00 for 5-6 liters of gas. That should be enough that everyonone can get to the gas station
> E) By the sounds of it you guys start camping at Onion Lake Friday night
> (near the site of the Dead Zone I think) and then head out in the morning to
> Poison Mountian. Do you pack up your camping gear and store it in your
> vehicles or leave it set up while your away?

Yes we are starting at Spring Camp which is only 4.5 kms up the FSR from Hwy 12, I will be putting my gear into my van
> F) What gear (i.e. gas, clothes, food) would you recommend taking to Poison
> Mountian & the Morrow Chalets considering you'll be there overnight and away
> from your vehicles?

You will just need yourself and any clothes you want to wear, food drinks and beds are supplied, bring your shorts for the hot tub, no you will not be able to tuck your truck into bed, you will be a long way away
> G) I'm assuming you leave your vehicles at Onion Lake...............is the
> site secure enough?

We have never had a problem in the past, I make sure I leave nothing of value behind. There is no security

This is a good new bad news post'

Good news is we have secured a third cabin that means we can take 4 more riders on

Bad news is that we already have a waiting list and the first 4 have been added, if any of those added do not want to go we will post the open spot

I have booked bedsat the Totem Motel in Lytton for the Friday night. Airconditioned with a public swimming pool and drinking establishment down the street.

I took the last two large rooms that they had available (they're busy housing firefighters).

The cost should work out to about $28 each. The plan being to have breakfast in Lytton (beside the Scotiabank) Saturday at 7am, and leave our vehicles parked there / on the streetuntil our return Sunday pm. With some sharing/spooning, there is space for 7 of us. If someone is feeling adventurous and willing to make a Tom sandwich:shock:, there could be room for 8. The mind boggles...

Totem Motel in Lytton for the Friday night:
 1. Mark Gray
 2. DirtyBill
 3. Andy J
 4. Tommie Tinselteeth
 5. John Vanl
 6. STARBUCKS
 7. Hawk
 8. Guy R
 9. Ian B
 10. Gordon

Ian did his best to botch things up by calling & making his own reservation...
At this point it seems that we have one room with 2 queens, one room with1 queen &2 singles, and a room with 1 double and 2 singles. Or something like that, since they seem a tad confused... No queen jokes please kids. Cost per person is now a complete mystery.
The reservation is in my name, MarkGray. If everyone brings cash then perhaps we could swing a deal with the proprietors?
For breakfast, the Cafe beside the ScotiaBank which offers a decent belly bomberbuffet is opening especially for us at 7:30. I promised them a good sized group so please plan on participating.
