I agree - it looks great,

I think it would be an option if we replaced it with the original bike and filled it in a little. I like the idea of having a rider on the bike, any good artists out there?

If you meant adding a bike to this newest version, I think it mightbe getting a little too busy.

I was driving to work today and a truck BLEW past me on the hi-way, I think he was doing a Buk-Twenty:hr:

All I saw was 3 things...that it was a White truck with a Black canopy and a YELLOW DSBC decal on the tinted back canopy window

I hope we can keep the same yellowdecal with the bike added onto it , and have this one as a DSBC Logo.

This looks great:tup:

Were you on Suzi? No? Too bad!

I saw 3 bikes downtown today - my KLR, a green '06 KLR and a red sport bike. I didn't think sprot bike squids were tough enough to ride when its below freezing!

-4 when I left for work this morning (and I lost my electric vest adapter when I crashed last weekend).

I liked Yardsale's Tiretread theme, so I copied it!
I like the knobby tire tread pattern at the beginning of the logo...what if it was 1/2 of a knobby tire rollin' towards the text?...I haven't a clue how to design it myself...:?

YARDSALE! ! ! ! ! ! !

Your designs are fantastic ! ! ! ! Good lord now I may have to change my mind about which design I like best.

Thanks Judy but I can't take credit for them - I'm only the poster. Ginger put these designs together as she's the one with all the talent.

I have to say that I equally prefer Ginger's designs (for their simplicity) and this one:

She tells me that this one may be a bit too detailed and/or expensive for certain types of print and it might be good to see what it looks like with the bike and rider just as an outline so thatthey could alternately be used depending on the application. Maybe printerboy can shed some more light on that.

Im only on this site for this contest

I know nothing about Dualsport Bikes
But i am a graphic design student so i know logos.

So heres my attempt

PS: It looks fuzzy but thats just the crappy save quality.

The real vectored one isnt like that.

Danieldick,

Didn't mean to come down on you so hard. I have been a little cranky lately, too much work and too little riding!

I agree with joker's choice , add a B.C. flag or maybe a dogwood ( prov. flower ) another dualsport bike and you have a winner! Ken

This is my prfered theme though the DS bike flying through the air would fortell a serious yard sale moments later.

I'd like to see the sense of adventure/exploring with the BC map probably with the rider having reached the top of the mountain instead of jumping the Snake river. Simplify it too, its realy scrambled and wouldn't read too good from a distance. Graphicaly work it out to 2 colors, it should work as a logo, patch, letterhead or when responding officaly to Govt or the courts they don't giggle and "Round file" it.

The yellow with black is punchy and converts to a decal realy well, I plastered my bike with the old ones looks realy,,,umm visable!

Best graphics are No#1, placed rather ospiciasly, though DS theme doesn't quite come through for me. Take a snap of the Ewan McGregor loaded BMW's looking out over some mountains and posterise it and voila' , the DSBC rider's on a trip.

The previously noted yellow with black and an adventurous DS rider with all the stuff that is DS on the bike would work best for the purpose, so far. i did like the simple bike graphic too but it didn't tell much ofa story and has a fair way to go to get some punch.

So as you can tell i've changed my mind, about 11 times, and settle closer to the yellow and black with a better rider siloette on it, for reasons that don't matter to most people.

Party on Garth.

I agree...the watercolour-like artwork is fabulous and would look great as a full-sized poster on my garage wall...or for communications purposes, in a starbucks advertising an upcoming event or trail day... The Black and Yellow grabs attention, and transfers to hats, toques, t-shirts etc so much more efficiently. Branding both those logos would be a good idea to utilize both of their strengths. I dig Number 1 and Number 3. And I would definately use Number 5 as a sticker on my fridge, or trailer. Nice work everyone.
