Question....March 6, Hearing Island family poker run .

Is there camping? Is it a whole weekend event, and is there anything for mumma to do while the boys are out playing??(besides keeping the beer cold and the food hot)

Fees?

Whet skill levels are the trails? MY 10 year old doesn't have too much saddle time yet and has not ever been into the steep rutted root trails. He's only had about 4 rides on his XR80.

The kid is already stoked for his first poker run !!

Give'r

Ok, The Herrling Island Poker Run is basically a really big excuse to ride. They usually make a supereasy kids course. But this is Herrling, where even the expert and intermediate courses are fairly easy but long. they usualy make the kids course on hard packed groud so it stays decent even when the weather gets indecent. The trails are fairly open for the most part so that most dualsport bikes can handle it. I have a friend that raced an XR-600L at Herrling, so it's really not that bad.

There is camping available on the island. And the cost should be around $20 for adults. I suggest you check out the FVDRA site as the date approaches. http://www.fvdra.com I'll also put up posters for the event as soon as I get them on both the PNWMA http://www.pnwma.com site as well as the Team Grizzly site. http://teamgrizzly.ca

PS: Don't tell your son that all the kids entered get medals. He'll get so stoked, he'll explode. :)
