Are RV's permitted?

The ride is held on Saturday.

Most people arrive on Friday afternoon and leave on Sunday. We'll have food for you on Friday night, Saturday morning & Saturday night.

Plenty of folks bring RVs, but you need to make a reservation withRoy or Sarah at the resort & pay extra.

The 2010 DEAD ZONE will be based out of the Acacia Grove Resort in Spences Bridge for the 4rd year.Excellent shaded grass tent sites (One night included in your DEAD ZONE entry fee) with washrooms (extra porta-potties this year)& hot showers!

  • Powered & Watered RV sites available (extra charge at your cost)
  • Cabins which sleep up to 4 (pets ok) with air conditioning & kitchenettes (extra charge at your cost)
  • You'll need to pay the Acacia people directly if you camp a second night
  • If you want a cabin or RV site; please book it yourself. Contactthe Acacia, and tell him that you are with the DualSport group. http://www.acacia-rvpark-cabins.com or 250-458-2227 or 1-800-833-7508.
  • You must book an RV site before theevent. These sites sell out quickly so don't wait until the last minute.

The mapquest.com said it's just under 4 hours

This area is remarkably close to Vancouver, and has impressively different climate, terrain, and vegetation. It is about 4 hours going up and 3.5 hours return from downtown.

This event often conflicts with the family camping long weekend and is a tough choice... what are the chances of moving it off the long weekend next year? I'm wondering if you'd get better attendance if placed the weekend before or after?

Zero chance as long as I'm the organizer.

Thanks for asking!

Attendance always seems to be at max capacity every year I've attended.

I actually prefer that it is on a long weekend, makes things a lot easier for me.

A couple of Loops boys have our entries all together... just waiting for BCORMA numbers. Getting those numbers certainly add some complication (timeline) to the registration process... but it seem to be a good cause.

Any chance we could send off the registration without the numbers and show up with stickers on our helmets?

I can't process a Dead Zone entry unless it has a Trail Pass number. However, if you want to send in your entry forms now you can email me your Trail Pass number when you get it.

DualSportBC also sells Trail Passes. If you include a a $40 payment with your Dead Zone entry fee I will send you a Trail Pass plus a reflective DSBC decal, a DSBC key chain, a DSBC mini decal and a DSBC pocket calendar. Not complicated at all .

July 1st is on a Thursday this year; there is no long weekend.

Do you know how long the B-route is? (Give or Take...)

Getting excited early here and would like to show up with less than a full tank of gas! That stuff is heavy!:help

Thanks!

Please review the threads from the 2009 event. The B route will be around 250km. You should start with a full tank. We will 'try' to arrange a fuel cache / stop for bikes that can't do this distance.
