We are ready to release the GPS Routes and Roll-Charts. These will be sent out via the email you provided on your entry form, hopefully I could read your printing.

If you are having trouble with the files or don't receive an email, please email [email protected]

***Important***

We have worked very hard on these routes and would like to keep them private. Please DO NOT post these on public GPS route websites.

Thanks,

~the Loose Screw Crew

I need the following people to PM their email address to me as I obviously can't read.

Hi Dan. I got the files, thanks. However, I'm having problems transfering them onto my gps. Basecamp and Mapinstall won't recognize them as readable files.
Any hints/ideas?
Thanks,
Bill

I had no issues with it using Basecamp; however, I was told that if you are having trouble rename the files to ACTIVE LOG 001, 002, 003, etc and they should load fine. Once loaded, rename on the device.

I will have my laptop with me at the site if you can't get them to work, as will others I am sure.

The other problem that he may be having is that the tracks as sent were 5000 points or more. If the GPS is older the track would need to be broken into smaller tracks?

Yes, but you should be able to filter them to <500 points yourself using MapSource or BaseCamp prior to loading in the GPS. The GPS tracks are really just for backup, use the roll-chart and you will never be off-track.

For sure, just putting it out there for people like me who have a lot to learn about GPS use. BTW do you know if the Pritchard gas station has Premium gas?

Thanks Dan. My gps is a garmin 62s. I buggered around last night with the files. My Basecamp wants the files in GPX format and won't convert the GDB files over or recognize them as readable.
Scott, Pritchard has both premium and regular, as well as stacks of beer, both ambient and cold :hb:

I believe that Pritchard store has regular only now. In the riders meeting we will talk about each 'group' that goes out paying for gas once and filling instead of them having to process 80 $1 transactions...

Here is the breakdown of riders per route.

15 - A
35 - B+
16 - B (hard option)
24 - B (easy option)
25 - C

We were thinking next year to combine the A & B+ and going with 3 routes again.
