HELP Harrison East to Nahatatch FSR June 11th weekend

Is anyone riding up the Harrison East FSR

As you may know I am working on the Routledge DS this year. The snow and other route issues have kept me from some of the work I should be doing locally

If you are riding Harrison East I need to know the snow level and how far you made it to the Kookipi Pass or if we can make it thru. Description of the road conditions would be good

Your help would be greatly appreciated

I was out on Harrison Lake yesterday evening. You can see quite a ways up on either side. I couldn't believe how much snow is still up there for this time of year. Based on what you encountered a couple of weeks ago, I doubt that you could make it through just yet. I wish I could check it out for you, but I'm still recovering from my knee surgery.

I met up with Farp and bratt and we made it up to N 49 48.2 E 121 47.8 . Elevation 2470 ft.
That looks to be about 1000 ft below and aprox 7km from the pass............

................going to be a week or two at least.

Blatt and I met up with Bob at the start of the Shovelhead Creek FSR where crosses over Big Silver Creek. The bridge railing that had been damaged has been repaired and the sign with the arrow pointing to Boston Bar has been removed, The water flowing under the bridge was pretty impressive.

About 6 km past the bridge we ran into an impassable bank of snow. The snow was about 2 feet deep, soft, and dense enough to support Bobs bike.

Here's the GPS track showing how far we got. According to my GPS we were at an altitude of 730 meters and approximately the next 20 km of road were at or above this altitude. If we get some warm weather in the next couple of weeks the snow could easily be melted so let's hope for some sunshine.

Way too much snow to be cleared by the time of the Routlege Run

Looks like the Routledge will start at the "Elvis Rocks The Canyon" just south of Hells Gate, For those of you riding the Friday of the event you will have to keep your eyes on the updates on this site.

Hells Gate Airtram owns the property and has graciously offered it for us to use as a staging area http://www.hellsgateairtram.com/index.html and also going to allow us to use the property for over weekend parking (no charge) they would like us to consider their attraction before or after the event.

There will be overnight parking available for those of you who are trucking your bike to start
