I still have my studded tire from two years ago, never found anyone silly enough that wanted to ride in the snow (except Sylvain) maybe this will be the year this tire get mounted

Today was actually our second day out on the studs. They are magic, I never want to take them off.
Last Friday we probably could have got by without them. Today you would have been very lonely way back there trying to get get up some of the snowy hills. Some shots from Friday...

You may note that most pictures are of riders without studs...

Great day out there today. -2C, some sun, an inch or two of freshies. No, not skiiing...
The traction is astounding. Almost too good; you can't slide the rear around like you want to.

Hi Gord, I plan on being in the Laughlin, Nev. area mid Jan. to ride parts of the Mojave Trail. The Colorado River is the border between AZ. and California, the riding is all out there waiting. If you ever can get down south, let me know. I will also be back in Borrego Springs for Feb. Everyone welcome. Steve

Someone has to post some riding pics at this time of year to keep y'all amused...

4 to 6 inches on the ground now. The astounding traction is long gone - more like riding in deep sand.

I think it's great training. You have to let the bike float while keeping balanced above the bike.

Look at the grip warmer switch...OFF. You know you're working when the grips are off.

too bad you don't invite the newly moved guy to ride with you!
He got studded tires already!

Let me know, I can give you Tom's contact info

He is starting to do too much couch, we still need him in shape (kind of) next spring !
