kTm demo day in the Loops

So on my way outta town to work for the day, I remembered that RTR had the KTM demo day on, so I hung a left on Oriole rd and showed up at the door of RTR looking to maybe ride an 1190. Immediately upon arrival at the large KTM tent (absent of all said KTM demo bikes) and attended to by both a man and a woman, I putt putted up on my "greatest dualsport of all time" and clunked down my kickstand right at the tent and barked out of my helmet "alright it's time for a real world side by side comparison!" (klR vs 1190) Though the following picture is not of the day I arrived, it is perfect for the purpose of painting a picture as the day I arrived the bike had strapped on it two large boxed exhaust fans and overstuffed tank bag and full side boxes. There was utterly no response from the two for a reasonable amount of time before the girl finally smiled and even after a short conversation when I left (due to a distinct lack of demo bikes) the dude still looked completely baffled.

5 rolls of nmd wire and a 5' stepladder. My trans continental work truck, sometimes.

hehe. Yeah I was working that day and saw them rolling out a few times through out the day.
I really wanted to try the Super Duke...
I THINK it was there?

Wayne's strapping/packing and lashing skills are a big part of why his rig works so well for him as well.Can't and wont fit, are words not very familiar to mr 04KLR!
I'm surprised that with his high percentage of scottish blood, that he hasn't dreamed up and built a 5th wheel/wheel barrow conversion setup yet, just so he can increase the payload, and drop the fuel per mileage traveled ratio a bit more?

If you come do my electrical Wayne, I will bring all the stuff needed in my truck so you can still get your knee down in the corners!

surprising thing is that the already razor sharp noodle like handling of a kLr is somewhat improved while carrying a load, not a teetertotter ladder perhaps but some weight in the boxes at least, and oddly it works.
sort of. ;}

and that's funny reid as yesterday after gassing up and heading out the east shuswap rd. I was doing the guzintas in my head (2 guzinta 4, two times) and came up with over 21km/lt., not bad for an at speed commuter truck, er, bike.
