Hey brian....

To haveonline shopping on the site costs big bucks, no funds for that. That is why the tickets page has instructions on how to pay. Just follow the instructions for paypalon the ticket page and you'll have no problems. Or you can contact me (as per the instructions) for further payment options.

Starting to fill up quick, should have a good turn out. Look forward to seeing you there.

Chris.

Sunday the 19th is your day to do ??? Most people will pack up and head home in the a.m. but if you want to go out and do some more riding thats up to you. You must leave on Monday for sure. Hey Gord, I have something orange in my garage now besides the DR. A 625 smc.
If you are looking for KTM stuff try munnracing.com in Texas. Say you heard about them on KTM talk and they will give 15% off the hard parts book price US. I ordered some stuff 3 weeks after I ordered some stuff locally and got it first. Cancelled the local order!
They ship USPS so no brokerage fees. I have since put in another order.
Sorry to highjack this thread. Cheers Ross:hb:

In the words of 04klr...... "I'll be skimpy on detail as Chris will no doubt have input on the subject but, we rode the "A" loop on Sunday 200k 7hrs. KLR types need not apply, there are a couple of sick sections steep unuf for rear wheel lifts on the descents, what mud? what logs? whatta loop!"

Thanx for your assessment of the loop. I have updated a little in the first post of this thread also. Remember to pre register by July 21/07.

Just a little update on "A","B", and "C" routes for those of you who attended the Dead Zone!!

The "C" route will be easier than the dead zone "C". Should be no mud unless it rains hard just before the event. The road up to Cornwall Hills Lookout would be as difficult as it gets!!!

The "B" route will also be easier than the dead zone "B". Our "B" route will not have single track like the dead zone trail at the beginning of this years event. Our "B" will be more like the afternoon portionof the ride.

And finally the "A" route. This is a tough one!! Overall I think it willalso be easier than the dead zones "A", but..... This is mostly a "B" to "B+" ride with the exception of the Loose Screw Trail. Even if the really good riders find the rest of this loop easy I think theLoose Screw Trail will give them someting to talk about... Again weather will play a big part on this one. If it rains thing will be very interesting...hhmmmm...I kinda hope it rains :D

So will the "A" be mostly single track?
As a "B" rider who gets to follow all his "A" riding friends, am I doomed on the Loose Screw Trail? I only dropped my bike once through the Monkey Wrench etc... and that was more from being tired.

No...most of the route is not single track!! Most of the route is "B" (old roads and trails). The Loose Screw Trail section is the most difficult section all day. It is very steep and tight single track (handlebars will fit between most of the trees). In the afternoon there is a couple of cut blocks and some single track as well. All of the difficult bit are short but they will keep you on your toes. No large bikes on the "A" cause the Loose Screw Trail will mess you up. If you were at the dead zone and rode the dead zone trail (first tough trail in the am) IMO this is more difficult. I found the dz trail easy and no drops. The Loose Screw Trail...I dropped my bike more than once (but who's counting) and worked up a sweat. The nice part...there is some fire road right after the trail so you can recover!!

We Will go out and get the gps track tomorrow morning(Sunday)

I think it will be sorta like a 'route-chart' track.

Camp area will have the start co-ordinance, way-point #1, "0km" make a right. Then travel to way-point #2 ordinance "???" "km??",make a leftand so on. By the end of the ride we will see who is closest to the track and km I set out. Maybe I can get a prize donated for who ever is closest to the proper km. If u have to travel around to find the way-point then your km's will be out...

h'm...sounds like fun:dr:

I'm afraid I've been told that the "family" camping trip to Tofino is the same weekend.......so I won't be attending the Loose Screw this year.:(

Hopefully next year.

Have fun.

I have a few things to tidy up on the track , then it will be e-mailed to those that are doing the GPS ride a few weeks before the event.. The GPS ride will be the same as the "B" rollchart ride. That way one could 'try' the gps and use the rollchart as back up.
