New card lock at Gold Bridge. They take credit cards too but you can only buy clear regular with a credit card

Talked to the rider of this bike in Bralorne. He was just finishing up a 4 month 12000KM ride to the Yukon. Kind of found it funny he has a N on his plate.

Agreed. Any GPS tracks? I'd murder to hit this.

I'm not sure about Steep Creek, but I just did it via Traux Creek FSR two weeks ago and it was by far the most spectacular ride I have ever done.

Hi Cb1, I do have track for this ride, but I only know how to share it directly from my Motion X GPS app to an email address. So if you want to PM I can send it that way. But a couple of other points/warnings on this route: 1. This will not get UP the mountain like Pembydoorider did. This FSR terminates a few hundred meters from a scree slope at the base of the mountain from what I can tell, on the opposite side from where Pemby accessed it via Steep Creek 2. The upper part of the road was decommissioned years ago so has LOTS of steep cross cut drainage ditches and one fairly good creek to cross which MAY be impassable depending on the time of year (nothing your KTM can't handle though) 3. This is prime Grizzly habitat and after seeing the size of the piles of bear crap everywhere, some very fresh, and paw prints wider than my hand, was the one thing that made me pretty nervous. My buddy was riding a fairly loud two stroke which is the only reason I think we didn't actually see any which was a good thing as I had my doubts my little can of bear spray would have done anything other than piss it off. 4. I can't begin to describe how spectacular the scenery is in this valley. We kept on hitting the drainage ditches way too hard because we kept getting distracted by everything around us.

@pembydoorider, from what I can tell from my Backroad Mapbook Steep Creek access road is about 4.5km east of Goldbridge, is that correct? Can you give any indication of the difficulty level to get above treeline?
Thanks.

Yes that is right. I was just up there a few weeks ago again. They have done a lot of logging at the bottom so the you need to look for the trail on your right a k or 2 once you turn up the logging road. You gain 5200ft in 5 3/4 miles so pretty steep. The road up Truax creek is about another 5k past and not quite as steep. There is a old mine up there but you will have to walk the final couple of k's https://www.facebook.com/media/set/...088.1073741918.1573012645&type=1&l=f182bc84dd
