(repost and reminder)

Saturday, April 17.

A day has been set aside by the campground allowing us to do a general site cleanup and decluttering making more room for sponsor displays, RV's, and riders camping on site.

We are looking for volunteers to give us a hand.
Bring your branch loppers, shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, chainsaw... any tools and equipment you think might help. We might have a Bobcat loader on site.

A truckload of gravel to fill potholes would be awesome! :woohoo:

Bring lunch, 'refreshments', a lawn chair... good chance we'll have a bonfire going.

Same campground as before but pm for location if not known.

Thanks.

I'm definately in. Will bring saw, pruning shears, shovel, rake, post hole bar, matches, tinder, etc.

Remember many hands make light work and more empties to return.:hb:

My son and I plan to be there on Friday to help with the campground cleanup. We will bring hand saws, shovels, rakes and such. Sorry, we don't have any gravel. See you there.

I have gravel here in Nanaimo but I can not make it to the clean up day but if someone wants to come by with a truck I can load a couple scoops with a bobcat for the campground. PM me if someone wants to make arrangements to pick it up.

yo, buck....will there be any riding of the trails ???

I would hope so. It would be fun to do some work, go for a ride and have a fire and scorch some weiners.

I made a quick vist on Saturday and have an update: A cougar ate the donkey (really!) and the river washed up a beautiful big cedar tree on the opposite bank. Life is still good.

There is a big truck load of cedar firewood there which hopefully will last untill we're there. The site is looking quite tidy and they have burned one boat with the other soon to follow. heinrik has a pile of gravelly dirt that he wants to use to fill pot holes and so a bobcat would be very handy and more usefull than gravel and ensure that a ride is more likely. There have been a few new "camps" established and there is now a pool room which could use a tidy up. All in all it's not looking bad at all apart from the donkey...........:(

Yeah that's the other one. The CO came and shot the cougar so hopefully he's safe.

i'm good to go at this point, just keeping an eye on the weather.

i'll likely make the campground area before 10am so may hang out 4 an hour somewhere not to far away.
Can't stay to long but i'll get a few hours in and it will be great to see you guys!

Al, you can show up earlier at the campground. They are expecting us all day. Great to hear you can make it.
We are holding you a spot in the Orca Run in case you can join us for that.

Buck thanks for the info and holding me a spot.
i hate posting up like i have and then backing out but things were looking 4 sure i was coming to the clean up.
unfortunately last night i tipped my machine on its side after missing my(emergency) landing spot a few feet.
its going to need some bigger repairs.
so i wont make the clean up, sorry.
