I know it is probably not new news to your guys that already live here in Kamloops, but for me, my first experiance with River City Cycle here in Kamloops was one that could not have been more positive.

Its less than a week before the Loose Screw Dualsport, something have have been planing to attend for the last year. I have one of those bastard love child Huskies that BMW created when they thought they could rule the off road market. Concieved in Italy where some of the most beautiful bikes come from. Anyhow my poor Husky now has a new Step Dad (KTM). I wont go into all the orange jokes at this time.

Back to the story, the Husky's Italian made starter packed it in. I thought to myself that this not going to end well. I just moved to Kamloops and dont know any of the dealers here, first time customer. Didnt think that my usual line "do you know who I am?" would work as a newbie to town. So I went down to River City Cycle did not drop any names but told them I really needed the bike for the Loose Screw which was just a week away. They were very nice and said they would check my diagnosis and phone me. Guess what? They phoned me in less than 24 hours;), bad news, the starter is finished and a new one will have to be ordered in.:(

I gave them the go ahead and cried a little more, hoping that would help get the bike fixed faster.

Today, 4 working days later, River City Cycle calls me and sez the bike is ready to go:clap:

Two Thumbs up for :woohoo::woohoo:River City Cycle for getting the job done, lets see what I can break now:f:

See you guys at the Loose Screw campground in a couple of hours

Perhaps we should rename this thread - "Sponsors that rock !" ?

Tip of the hat to RTR, who even though they had already closed, took the time to dig up a 990 fuel filter kit, and stash it outside the shop for us to pickup :)

I second that, I was the guy that needed the Kit.

I didn't replace it at camp opting to do it at home so I limped the beast back to Delta barely able to do 95 km/hr.
