Summer riding - Northward !

Anybody interested in doing the In-Shuck-Ch FSR from Lilooet down to Harrison lake?

Has anybody done it recently that can offer advice for riders on larger bikes 900cc and up?

I'm also up for any other rides up North and can do something either on the 6th or 13th of June. PM me if you want to arrange something.

We did it a few weeks ago, road was in pretty good shape. There's a rough section for a few kilometers at the north end of the lake but you should be fine on your 1190 unless you're a beginner.

Now that I'm interested in this ride.......is there a .gpx track someone can share so I can see what I'm in for.
Most interested in distance and time needed to do this from Delta round trip.

Thanks, in advance,
the Hog

BitingDog and myself had a hoot yesterday; we went from as high up as we could get on Brohm ridge (https://goo.gl/maps/m2Dm0), some exploratory detours onto a few logging spurs, to sweet flowy single track :D.

I'll post a vid of some highlights soon, to incite jealousy, and prod others to come along for the our next trek.

You must have been here where the Oso Loco crew have been?

Cant get up to the ridge till late summer, but as BitingDog will likely attest, even the trip to the chateau makes it worthwhile...

An epic ride! Offworlder knows this region like the back of his hand. There is near endless riding to be done up Squamish way. I was indeed fortunate to have such a knowledgeable guide. We experienced a vast variety of goodness: Jaw dropping scenery, crisp mountain air, snow (nice to cool off in the snow), two track, single track, rivers, creeks, waterfalls, wooden bridges, challenging hillclimbs, groomed trails, and trails that hadn't been ridden since the 20th century. I am so glad that I took the day off work. This was a memorable & fantastic day.
Thank You Offworlder! This Dog was so happy that I didn't even think about biting all day :)

If you PM me your email address I can send you the GPX track for this ride. Depending on how fast you ride and how many rest breaks you take it will take you anywhere from 3 1/2 to 5 hours to make it through to Pemberton from the Sasquatch Inn. It takes me about 1 1/2 hours to make it to the Sasquatch from Ladner and returning to Ladner via the Sea to Sky from Pemberton takes me 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hrs depending on traffic conditions.

Hey buddy.. slight change of plans. Cant leave home before 12 (Last minute parenting duties) but happy to ride 6/7 hours in afternoon if your keen. We could do something on this side, starting Squamish / Sea-to-sky side (closer for us) we could meet somewhere in between and figure it out..
I am new to BC so learning the off roads.. have been joining off road rides around Harrison / Lytton / Boston Bar/ Permberton loop

Let me know if you want to do that still.
I will PM my Cell number.

thanks fadi'. . . , think i'm going to head over the duffy tomorrow morning and ride down the west bank of the fraser , take the reaction ferry over to hwy 12 at lytton . then ride lillooet to seton , back home over the highline .

maybe next weekend harrison east / kookipi ?

hey 'hog and fadi . . . sounds like we have the beginning of a ride next saturday .

harrison east , kookipi , up the west bank of the fraser ?

holy crow , what a great ride yesterday . left whistler around noon , up and over the duffy . paired up with some random guy on what used to be my dream bike . . . an early bmw R80 gs . he dropped off somewhere along the duffy .

fuelled at lightfoot in lillooet and got some beta about the texas creek road from the locals . sign at the beginning of the road said the lytton ferry was out , but i went anyway thinking i'd either turn around and come home the same way , or push through to boston bar .

texas creek road is absolutely buffed FSR , just a great ride . got down to the ferry , which was out ,but the local FN told me i could go over the rail bridge . i headed down the road to boston bar , not really committed to tackling it on my own, so when i saw the rail bridge , decided to check it out . there was a lot of foot traffic back and forth with the ferry out , but everyone i spoke to said it was cool to take the bike across , so i did .

then went up hwy 12 and took the fountain valley road , again beautiful road through beautiful country , another one of those roads that i had driven past a hundred times and had never been on . . . this is why i got a dual sport bike !

from lillooet , went over mission hill to seton where i ran into a couple of guys who had been on a multi day tour of BC . they had gone over the duffy but got turned back just shy of mt currie due to a MVA involving fatalities .

after a refreshment and figuring out exactly where the problem was , we headed out over the highline . i quickly left them behind on their heavily laden bikes and made it back to whistler in time for my sons' belated 18th birthday dinner at the M-I-L's .

what a great day with about 550 km put in .

Anyone up for an epic loop tomorrow (Thurs July 2nd) ? Hurley, Tyax, Carpenter Lake, Lillooet, and then Molybdenite peak !
Will then cruise back on the duffy for a burger @ Mile1 while the sun sets....
