yup, it was awesome!!!

Thanks to Tom, Mark and everyone else who helped set up this GREAT weekend. The ride was fantastic, as was the scenery. I swear to God I have never seen mozzies like the ones that infested us at the Cornwall lookout. I'm still grinning about the mud sections, that was soo much fun. That first mud hole was one for the ages.....Lee going to the left was priceless:clap:. After getting lost by Cache Creek, that wicked single track we took was definetely a high light. Also to the whole Island contingent for the non stop laughs and entertainment:hb:

...and the Academy award(shared)for the "06 DEAD ZONE goes to :

The organizing team of Tom, Mark, Ted and all the other volunteers and also, specifically, to the guys who pulled me out of the MUDHOLE, John who re-aligned my front wheel in the MUDFIELD, and to SIXGILL and DICKSTER who, in full riding gear, hiked 300+ vertical feet to lift a mighty KLR, which had toppled over in non-KLR (and based on lack of tracks) other bikes friendly country, and to the greatIsland DS team. You guessed it, we had a blast getting and got royally lost!

Thanks all, it was a blast. My regi# this year was #4.

For '07, please use the same credit card.

Good time at the Dead Zone as usual.

Nice to put faces to names, especially the Island contingent.

Funny how the C loop looks more like a B when you're on a big bike.:)

I thought Pirate would look more like Johnny Depp:hr:

The DSBC event of the year!!

Got that right! The b-loop was fantastic and is definitely going to be a hard act to follow, I was challenged by the terrain, stuck in the mud holes, dropped the bike a few times but we rode with a constant feast of spectacular scenery and great trails. The comraderie and helping hands are what makes DualSporting truly special!

I've posted my photos to the gallery, but for me this one photo defines what dualsportbc is all about

A huge thanks to Mark, Tom, Ted, John, Neil, Sharon and all the others who did all the work to prepare this event and make it an annual MUST DO!

Had a great time at the Dead Zone and many thanks to ALL that organized the event. Also a very big thank you to those that helped pull me through the mud, without whom I would still be there now. Great burgers at the end Mark, better than Maci D's. I did expect the B loop to be a little tougher, however I wasn't dissapointed andconsidering the heat, maybe it was a saving grace. The scenery was fantastic which seems to be the norm in BC, especially the view from the top of Cornwall Hills. We got lost, did some A sections by accident and even went part way up Bellyscratcher on the mighty KLR, which blasted it's way up and up, like the Space Shuttle exiting the pad at Cape Canaveral.... Was great to meet everyone anddiscover new faces, DB, Ian B, T Bone650, and a whole bunch of others. The world is a huge place yet in theeyes of our maker so small, eh John (Sail Lots).

Thanks,

PIRATE.............

I just wanted to add my thanks to Mark, Tom, Neil, Ted and therewere others.

I had an absolute great time:tup::tup: :tup:The "C" loop was challenging enough for me for now. I heard the stories at lunch from the Island contigent on the "B" loop! :hb::) You guys are a hoot!

I managed to get through the mud with no fall ins this time round.. and for me that is a good thing since I do not do mud well! Thanks to Bill (dirty) for helping the C riders in some of that mud and finding a way around for the bigger bikes. May not work next year but...hmmm.

Meeting and putting faces to some of the names is a good thing and it was great to meet all of you that I met!!

The burgers after was great...I was saving up for that! Thanks Mark and Neil for cooking...you did an awesome job :clap:

The dust did not even bother me.. Thanks to the guys I rode with, Hans, John,Fred & Kary,(sorry if I spelled it incorrect). You guys made it fun for me...:D

I too am looking forward to next year....and the Routledge run which is in 3 weeks July 22-23. Maybe see some of you on that!

THANK YOU EVERYONE, IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!! :dr::dr:

I second that emotion:clap:. Had a blast. Thanks to all the organizers. Good crowd of folks and good riding. I too found the MX track up the mountain above Cache Creek dump to be quite memorable, and I have a new found respect for the KLR.

P.S. Love the bloated cow photo:tup:, it now adorns my PC screen.

Cheers:hb:
