time for the girls to get some sun! aka Reid's Gloves

(As this is a resurrected post perhaps a back story is in order as it's a little, unusual. Kamloops Reid had just in a a raffle won a pair of gloves that he was quite pleased with only to have them mysteriously disappear shortly thereafter and then, just as mysteriously, reappear here, in the pages of our DSBC).

We (Righty and Lefty) can't wait for the good spring riding to start so we packed our purses and rode down south for awhile to hang with some close friends riding there.

Wandering the streets shopping (as girls do), we stumbled across this cool sculpture.

met these boys one was cute and cool and the other was too cool for school

all the girls smile once we slip over their hands.

and we can't wait to introduce you to our friends,,, ta-ta

why do I get the feeling that these pic's were shot in Moab just a week or so ago?? At least it looks like the girls have wintered well?

these are our friends we hooked up with. We stayed in this cool big "1/2" house. And all men who love to get dirty,,

This is Mark and Tom (who while trying to impress us, went on and on about how without them there would be no DSBC, true as that may be and we're thankful for it, could we just get a drink please)

John, couldn't resist looking like just put his hands in the cookie jar once we were slipped on

and as fun as it was to be handed around with the boys,,

we were in for a big surprise when we met the heavy handed neighbors,,

loose gloves?? not really, just well hidden! friends-absolutely bora!! I can just imagine the belly laughs they are getting at my expense? That turned out to be the best ROI on any raffle ticket I have ever bought! Just look at them gloves- would you ( not counting Bora the safety yellow traffic cone kind of guy) wear dem gloves out on a ride? That's what I thought, they are getting way better laughs and mileage doing what they appear to do best-travelling to far off places, and turning up in unusual places to surprise me every once in a while!

while wandering around moab and hanging with the boys is fun, it was meeting the folks on the other side of the house that was a surprise.
this cute fella was the shy one.

here we were forced into being a wine cozy and the fit was, well, tight as a glove

we even helped with the cooking

our first booger, yuk

even the quiet ones cant stop the grin once we're slipped on.

ever the bridesmaids, we can't ride it but we can lay on Reids bike where we kind of clash with all the orange

and here we are with Reids helmet n gear, another serious clash of color.

and in a cruel twist of fate we almost meet our former owner Reid, hello big boy, nice to see you.

after some last minute wanderings it would be time to leave this place for a much warmer climate.

while playing with the boys was fun we really needed to stretch our legs, get out on our own and head for some real sun.
He kept saying, "welcome to fantasy Island" or sounded something like that.

all eyes were on us by the pool.

time for a little window shopping and wandering around town.

we even helped hold a sign for awhile.

longing for a ride on Reids bike we wrapped ourselves around this sweet ride.

met this lost soul, poor thing.

all this walking made us hungry, so off for a beer.

next we were headed to sea and to get there we travelled by bus where we were in good hands.

whew what a day! Back on land it was time to relax a bit. yes please.

she wasnt sure...

but we fit like a glove.

what a crazy night! ask no questions we'll tell no lies!

such a crazy night!! Too much fun.
but as all good fun usually comes to an end and this trip has, time to head to the great white north and do what we're made to do, go for a ride!

time for a refreshment along with a relative of ours, a beer glove.

And with that, at least for now,,, we've arrived at the end of our journey. Until we ride again.

Perhaps the story should be expanded to include when the gloves were found
