Looking for participants to help clear 4-5 Km of 2 track trail between the New Coldwater Main FSR to the Old Coldwater Main FSR. This is the only slightly difficult section as it now stands left that needs the low head whipping branches cleared. Once this is completed the route will be open unfettered from Kitimat to Terrace. This passage can then be enjoyed safely by all Dualsporters and ATV'rs alike.
There is no date set for this event until interest from participants is tabulated, but for now it could be in a few weeks or sometime in July. The notion was to have an overnighter perhaps starting Friday evening, set up camp and trail clear Sat/Sun if needed. Camping is not required, merely a social option. We would require as many bodies as possible with equipment for hacking mainly small branches. Open to all trail/FSR bandits, so please spread the word. Would be ideal if someone attending has official first aid training.
From the Terrace Whitebottom FSR once leaving Old Remo it is roughly 10-12 Km in travel and from Onion Lake closer to 20 KM. From Service Centre in Kitimat about 50 priceless Km's.
If you are able to help out, please contact me via PM, email if you have it or post to this thread. If you have a weekend definitely in mind, please advise.
Hope to see the locals get out there:clap:
