Kiwi and I scooted back from JR to catch the end of the MX race at Western...

Awesome ride over Jordan Ridge in spectacular sunshine! A few incidents but not too much blood was spilled. :hr:

I'm the only one who shed any blood. At least it was a bike that had just had a crash that I crashed :) I think I felt worse than if I had crashed my own bike. Just finished fixing as much as I could on her bike. Everything's straight again and the mirror looks like it's salvagable.
Oh, yeah, that was my first crash of the day. The second was an uphill crash while riding 2 up to get the other bike that we were leap-frogging out. :) good times, I would do it again in a second. The incident in the morning at the restaurant... thank's to Julius... set the tone for the whole day.:shoot:

If I wore my gear, I would have to replace it. and I'm a cheap bastard. Besides, the gear looks good in my locker. This was also supposed to be a nice relaxig C ride. If I wore my gear, I also may be tempted to push my bike harder :)

Great ride.

Who would of thought that a 200+ pound passenger on the back of a 26 year old bike which has the passenger pegs mounted on the swingarm would be unstable during a steep rocky incline. Clearly I didn't.

It was less a crashand more that we wereclose enough to the next leap frog point so we decided to get off at the same time while the bike was still running.

I never liked that left mirror anyways. An I just had to abort my evening ride because my headlight has died.

Bearhugger and BMWgal, did you notice if my headlight was working on the ride back to Victoria?

Actually, now that you mention it, I noticed it on the last part of the trail. I forgot about it after I target fixated on that lake.

Hey all! I am typing with one hang so bear with me!! :dr:

Thank you all so very much for taking such good care of me and my bike. Especially Bear Hugger for the tinkering with my poor scratched up bike. The drugs and alcohol have kicked in but I am debating on whether to go to the ER. OUCH!!! and you should see my foot!!

You guys (and gals) are the best!!:hb:

YeeFrickenHaw !!

Sooo...to sum up; first when I pulled into the eatery parking lot some drunk jackass in a pickup truck wanted to beat me up, thanks Bearhugger for chasing that idiot off. Then on the trail Pat crashed, BHuggercrashed Pats bike, and finally BH and Futura crashed together, I mean at the same time on the same bike :wi:. Woa ! No one could have predicted that.

All the shenanigans aside it was a fabulous day for riding the Jordan Ridge. Spectacular views. Great ride !

I am having some issue uploading the photos, so maybe later I get them posted.

PS. Great photos Buck !

I can honestly say from long, hard, and painful experience, it is best to get to the ER as soon as possible!!

yes, go to the ER, if not just for the industrial grade drugs.

I must say you had a very dignified get off. One moment you were up, next you were down and instead of a string of%@*&% you just said 'ow' seven times in rapid succession until I could lift your bike off your foot. I was impressed.

Well guys, I saw the post for the ride a half hour before you all were meeting. I am truely sorry to have missed it (ended up digging a big hole in my back yard instead) and am kinda glad I did. It seems wipeouts were infectous that day. As I am still trying to sell the KLR and am carring minimal insurance it looks like it was better to just dig holes. Great ride!

A little jealous,

Doug.
