Welcome all you Northerners, down here on the coast (centre of BC) we have no idea of what is going on up there? Other than you have lots of Bears and other big things.

I am sure we will get lots of riding information, but the long winter may bring some cool winter activities that you are welcome to post as well.

Have fun,

Tom Timmerman

Congrats on getting your own section guys and gals.

Its Gods country up where you are.

When I retire I want it to be in Smithers.....spent a lot of time there, and its paradise.

Would be nice to have my own home there, not just the 200 nights i have hoteled it in Smithers.

Got an uncle and Aunt in Terrace, cousins in both Kitimat, and PR as well.

How is the fishing in the rivers this year?

Not sure about the rest but the steelhead are very big and cooperative this year, don't tell anyone this is between us.

You should sell everything and buy a place in Smithers or Houston now! Things are getting pretty active and looks like its going to last. Now if it doesn't whats the worse that happens you get to fish, ride and play all day....hummmmm!

When your up give us notice and heck we will have a special ride celebrating your return....any excuse for a ride.

Our little group was on a ride yesterday, at the end of the road we stopped at something resembling an enchanted forest, we were saying just how nice a region it is. Its sort of neat but along the road to the end we passed wood gathers, hikers, mushroom pickers and the BC equivalent of gapped tooth hillbillies. FUN FUN FUN

I'm looking for advice.
My registration runs out on October 16th and my aircast comes off on November 1st (hopefully!!!)
Is my riding season over or should I renew my registration for another month? Can you renew for a month?

I think the minimum is three months with daily increments after that. Always a tough call "Which expiry date shall I pay for?".

My riding season will be coming to an end at the end of October. Even then we can have snow. I think we did have some for Halloween the last two years. May as well recoup and get strong this winter and hit it hard in March...hopefuly.

We missed ya Greg yeasterday, but it's Ok spring will be back in 6 months...I pray!

Greg, I am with Warren on this one. My bike is insured until the 29th of this month and if I can ride until then I will consider myself lucky. Chances are we are into our last week or two and each dayis a bonus. You can make up for this downtime next spring.

Thank you for doing such a great job organizing the last two rides. If you still want to put your energy into setting up a club in this area, I am sure it will prove very popular. You already have your first three members:tup:

We missed you yesterday. You would have enjoyed the ride - it is one to repeat next year.

It was funny watching the video of Paul coming down a steep hill fairly slowly. Followed by me riding like an "old lady" and then you like a bat out of hell:hr:

Are you by any chancerelated to Evil Knievel?

IMHO I would stay parked and spend the money you save for a set of body armor like Michael has...:dr:..... great for the dance if your partner is a KLR. See you in the spring!

Great to have a Northern forum, I'll leave those Caribou guys alone now. A couple of us want to come down to a DSBC event next year. What one is closest to the North next year?
