Just got some Sherco parts that I was waiting for today, so I was hoping we could organize a ride at Maple Mountain on Sunday.....even though Masso (the Pear) wants to practise at the ISTC property. Anyone else up for Maple Mountain on Sun. Nice and slimy now!:tup:

Well boys! What is going on Frank and Rosco... It would be perfect for us southerners to have a ride at the famed Maple Mountain. Just need a tour guide. I think I can get Hank on his new 4T and Masso on his new 2t to come along. So let me know sometime Sat OK.

Sounds like we are going to hang around town Sunday. Kaos, Scotty905, Another rider that Scott works with and I are going out Harewood mine road, meeting at 10:30 if you feel the need to load the bikes you are more that welcome to join us. Scotty905 had me out once before in this area and it has tonnes of potential. Cool trails, some good climbs logs etc. Maybe we will get you out ????
If you find out any info on a club trial let me know and we will see if we can't get some interest up from the boys around here. I know the next event at the VMC is scheduled for November 9 with Dave Fair hosting. Hope to see you tomorrow, if not will see you soon Kevin

You missed an epic adventure today:clap:. Scotty 905 and fellow firefighter Keith set out to maim Koas and myself by draging us up to the top of Mount Benson ( thats the mountain that over looks Nanaimo) but it turns out that we spent most if the day pulling firefighters up the side of the mountain( actually, there was a lot of mutual dragging going on) We spent about 4 hours climbing this awsome trail up the hill, most of it was second gear climbing over rocks, logs moss covered hills etc. it was like riding a continuous section all the way to the top. There is TONNES:hff possible sections with some very neat rock sections all the way along the trail. The payoff was the view from the top, you can see everything from up there. Keith couldn't believe that I have lived here for as long as I have and have never been to the top, and after getting there I can't believe that I never have either. The trip down was quick as we followed the road down most of the way turning off to some nice mountain bike trails to reach the bottom. To say the least I was knackered when Kaos dropped me at home but it was a great ride. Thanks to Scott and Keith for showing us the way ( or at least some of it ) You will have to get up this way one day for a " Three Hour Tour"

Yes that was an entertaining day. But it was a lot of fun and the weather was perfect. Kevin it was awesome how easy you made those slimy hills and rocks look. You ride your bike the right way and let it take YOU to the top unlike my style trying to push it to the top and not succeeding:shoot:. Thanks to everyone for the help:tup:
