Hi,

Anyone know the exact rout that we took from the Hwy 1 + 232nd Chev. station, earlier this spring's nubie ride. I really enjoyed the backroad route that someone led us through. I know that it takes a little longer but I prefer not to ride on the Hwy. I'm sure that its going to be very scenic with all those fall colours.

Will be there at 7ish tomorrow and hope to see all of you there .

Ciao!

I was on the spring nubie ride and took the back road. I remember the route. If everyone is game, we can do it again. We can even mix it up a bit more at the beginning: go south on 232nd to 56th ave; go east on 56th and dog leg over to Bradner; head south on Bradner to 8th; go east on 8th which becomes Vye Rd. as you approach Sumas Way. Continue on Vye and take the Old Yale Rd. loop which then drops you down near Yarrow. Continue through Yarrow to Cultas Lake and fill your face with pancakes! :br:

See ya bright and early, Ed :dr:

DRZSMS...

I was one of the riders that led the way out to Chilliwack in the spring. I do not recall the exact route, but break out a map and choose your own way.I think we took 16th ave out to Bradner, down to Huntington, and then zig zagged back up through Yarrow. I am meeting up with some riders tomorrow morning at 232. I am not sure if we will be doing the highway or backroads.

Hi Ed

I plan on coming out with my Nephew to meet at 232nd.

He just has his learner licence so is speed limited.

We were planning on doing 80 -90 from burnaby hwy 1 to Sumas and taking back roads.

What are your plans for route from 232 to cultas if you don,t mind me asking.

We would stop in at 7:30 if we don,t slow you down to much

First time with the club.

Thanks for all the quick replies.

I'll be glad to ride again with you ED. That was a great route you took us though the back roads over Sumas Mtn. and then along the Frazer.

Well tomorrow morning I'll just tag along with those of you who wish to take the back roads again.

I'll be lurking somewhere along Vye/Huntingdon around Abbotsford to tag along for the ride into Cultus. Don't know who I'll meet up with, but I'm sure I can latch onto somebody.

What DRZSMS is referring to is the return route we took. If anyone is interested, I will be happy to lead this route which takes us back to Fort Langley via the Fraser River. Just look for me at the lunch and let me know if you want to join up. I'm riding a blue 08 KLR 650 with bags and top box. If you need to narrow it down more, look for a pensioner Chinese guy with white hair and the brightest yellow jacket you can buy. --Ed

I would have loved to make it to my first DSBC ride, but I'm having lower back issues (bulging L3-4 disc pinching right leg nerves) and my doctor strongly advised against it. I start physio in a couple of days and am hoping to be back to 100% in time for the spring noobie ride. Hope everyone has a lot of fun. I can't wait to see the pictures.

Had bags of fun. Thanks to the organizers and the clubs that helped us out with the food (much appreciated). Also great to see the Beemers out from Pacific BMW/Yamaha.

Thanks to the organisers, thanks to the CMA and GVMC ( hot food was most welcome). Great weather and great to see the new faces and the old ones err... I mean familiar ones;).

Cheers, Alex.

P.S. didn't take any pics cause I saw a lot of other cameras out so I'm sure there will be lots 'o' pics in the gallery.
