Welcome to the group. That Pemberton to Harrison is a great ride but there were some washouts a few years ago. You might want to research the present condition. Also, the distance between gas stations was farther than I had calculated but doable.
You may need to bring extra gas. Enjoy your ride!
Just to clear up some confusion… majorbedhed and I are both correct. From the south it’s called Drinkwater Road and from the north it’s Kirkland Ranch Road. Either way a great ride on the east side of the Thompson River between Spence’s Bridge and Ashcroft. Very little snow this year so might be...
Hi you guys. I was just checking on Google Earth. That awesome ride starts about six kilometres south of Ashcroft on hw 97c as you head towards Highland Valley/Logan Lake. Turn right down Kirkland Ranch Road- this takes you by the Sundance Guest Ranch. From there just follow the main dirt road...
Hi Ross. Super to hear you got back in the saddle with the DR. I just want to add some suggestions of great rides that might assist you in your planned trip from Lytton to Lilloet on the west side of the Fraser. You might include these in a circuit. 1. The Hat Creek Road south of HW 99...
Great to hear you’re getting back into the sport! I rode this route with two others about five years ago (650 DR, 650 Honda XR, and a big BMW adventure bike). The road conditions were fine just slow with all of the switchbacks as you cross so many tributaries to the Fraser. We’ll do this again...
Any reports on this road that allows you to get from Maryland Creek fsr over to Creston. It’s just north of the border and looks questionable on the backroads map book but not bad on Google Earth. Thanks. I’ll be on a 690 KTM loaded.
Hello friends. We’re hoping to go over the powerline road “Applegrove to Passmore “ which is SE of Fauquier and over to the Slocan Valley. I can’t find any recent info. Thanks. Dr. Suzy
The hills north of Mud Lakes were not doable for the five of us on loaded bikes last September and we found an abandoned bmw there too. There may have been some new fsr routes built since as we saw signs of new road building. Good luck.
The new bridge was at 51 degrees 10 minutes 41 seconds N and 122 degrees 41 minutes 9.4 seconds W (or 51.17794 - 122.68595 off the Gaia). So your point is 1.09 km NE of that at a bearing 30.8 degrees. Hope that helps. We should have gone East over the bridge to check it out but it was getting...
I can't confirm that it connects to that point. The new bridge that crossed the creek had concrete blocks at the west ?side. Motorcycles could get through these and head east but we didn't try that way. We went sw then gradually west and north to the 2800 FSR. I'm giving these rough directions...
