    Navigation apps help

Locus and Gaia are both good. I've tried both and prefer Locus, but I think it's only available on Android. Locus has good maps available and you can also buy the BC Backroads Atlas through their store. Tons of features including track creation, gpx file import and full offline maps.

    Slegler.com… any comments?

I was bit by a similar scam a few years ago. Can't remember the name, but implied that they were a overstock reseller tied to one of the big brands. Lots of mixed mostly European items on a very professional looking website. I pulled the trigger on a pair of Forma boots (funny coincidence) about...

    BC TCAT

An update on TCAT suggestions. I just finished a loop from Craigellachie up Perry River to Seymour Arm, then back down the Gorge Road section of the TCAT returning to Craigellachie. Scenery was fantastic and highly recommend this loop. Roads are decent FSR and the loop is about 200km of gravel...

A repurposed Android phone and good apps like locus or Gaia offer way more versatility (plus a bigger screen and backup phone). My total cost in for phone, housing, Ram mounts, apps and maps (plus a little personal...

Anyone doing the TCAT section to Calgary?

Same goes for Okanagan and Shuswap. Higher passes are still buried but usually open by late May. You might want to keep an eye on the travel restrictions here. Police will be checking for non-essential travel at least until end of May. I might be interested in doing some of the tcat in June if...
