How was it? How was 3+ days of sheer big bike lunacy with amazing weather and epic trails?!? Fantastic! We were having so much fun riding, I didnt take many pics. Here's one of the powerline trail - steep and loose!

Squamish has plenty of fun offshoots of the main Mamquam FSR. Easy well established roads with nice views. If longer distances is yer thing, the Hurley pass to Bralorne/Goldbridge is also easy and scenic. Squamish River Valley is also a goldmine.

I'd second @LordEndo recommendations, and add a DRZ, or DR-650. All good options that are simple, reliable, and wont break the bank.

While that water isnt all the deep - that rider (Radek) is a VERY experienced rider, and is making it look easy. There is no "protection" so to speak, and you'll need to know how to get the bike going again should you take water in (ie: via the air filter, exhaust, etc...).
