I got a pm from a Mod telling me to stop bashing the Husky......
Just to clarify,
I have nothing at all against Husqvarna bikes. In fact, I recommended to a close friend to buy a 08 TE510, which he likes very much. It has afew issues, but most bikes aren't perfect. I almost bought a TE610 myself, as a replacement to my Berg 550. I wanted something more capable of street miles, and I really like the low-maintaince motor of the 610. However, due to financial issues, the deal fell through. I was waiting patiently for the release of the 630, because by the time it's available I would be able to purchase one.
I was expecting Husky to knock the socks off us all with the 630. Well, you can tell I'm a little disapointed by the new bike. Based on the stats for the 630, it's my personal opinion, for the type of riding I do, that the 610 is actually the better bike. I would still like to see the 630 in person, and give it a ride. Heck, it looks like the extra ponies would make it a rocket-ship. It's just not the ultimate dualsport I was hoping for.

It was intended to be tounge-in-cheek, but I am being enlightened that it can be difficult to convey dry humour with a keyboard.
No hard feelings, I realize this thread wasn't intended to be used for bashing the 630, but honestly I wasn't trying to bash anything. Like I said, the humor sometimes gets lost in translation.

It's not like the 630 is competing in the woods-bike segment. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think Husky is positioningthe 630 more as a off-beat alternative to the KLR or similar type bike. In that respect the 630 becomes a feather weight rocketship. Simply add a long range tank & a clip-on windshield & maybe Husky feels it can steal some of the long distance ADV bike market. I dunno, maybe I'm just talkin outa my rear...

Hey, don't feel bad Strongleglift.
I have 08 610 and I am really not happy at all with the Suspension.:X I am going to try a new rear spring first and see what happens.
But if you compare the 630 to KLR's than you would have to say WOW.:clap: (And nothing against KLR's.) And they really made it into a better looking bike IMHO.
I just wanted to add, that I think that most Husky 610 fans were hoping that the 630 was going to be a more Dirt orientated bike. Well, Husky went the other way on 630. If you look at their line up, it does make marketing sense. (Not that I am happy about it.)
