2012 KTM 690 ENDURO R MECHANIC

Hello , brand new to the KTM world. I purchased a 2012 KTM 690 Enduro R. It has 14,000km on it and hard starts. It will start with a jump pack, the battery is new
If you turn it off and fire it up again within 30.seconds it fires up right away. If you leave it for 2 mins or over you need the jump pack again. Keep in mind I have tried 2 new batterys. It also seems to stall at idle. Any ideas is greatly appreciated. Looking for an Expert KTM mechanic in chilliwack

Hi MacQueen,
Maybe a couple questions will inspire some more response.
Does the jump pack turn over the engine faster than your new battery does?
Is this fuel injected - how do you set mixture and idle speed?
What happens if you try bump start it on a steep hill?

I know that if mixture and idle are not set properly the engine can be hard to start and can also cause stalling at idle.
Hope that helps a little to get discussion started.

I applaud your attempt to start a discussion Tonybike. After your encouragement I did post a few suggestions including pictures of a couple of known issues related to the 690 world. The OP seemingly hasn't bothered to check back so I removed the information that I wasted my time posting. Ho hum.
