We just got the invite to go down to BAHA and do race support for Malcom Smith and team " Racers for life" . Racers for life is a charity organization. There auctioning off a 2007 TC 510 and a Restored 1967 HUSKY after the race. Malcom Smith with JN Roberts won the Baha many times back in the day on a Husky. So this is a special 40th anniversary year for Baha 1000.

We'll be pre running with the team 4 days before the event and then driving a chase truck for the actual race and doing pit support.

I've never been there so this will be an adventure. Anyone with experience with Baha and what extra stuff did you bring ?

Be polite with the people, fumble with some pathetic Spanish and they'll treat you fine.

I carried 4 sets of registration and insurance with the originals buried deep in my pack ... phototcopies for everything else.

Buy yourself a new wallet. Keep that one safe with the majority of your cash, bank cards and credit cardsin a deep inside pocket. Take the wallet you are using now, it should look nice and worn. Put your AirMiles, Overwaitea card ......... anything that looks halfway important and mixed American dollars and peso's, no more than $100 total. Use that as a throwdown in case your mugged and as a 'permit' purchasing wallet to operate out of.
