I've been considering a 625 SMC that's been converted to dual sport (suspension reworked to match even). The bike overall is in great shape, I'm just wondering if there's any known glitchesor notorious faults I should be aware of when looking into it further. It's at 2004 model, 14,000kms.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys.

Depending on your riding ability it should be okay? What size wheels are on the bike? I have a 2003 LC4 that I installed the 18 litre tank on and it is a great ride. It is a little heavy in the tight stuff so you have to be careful that you do not get stuck in the mud when riding by yourself. As far as a general DS mount you should be do fine.

It's got a 21" front and 18" rear. It's got the 18l tank, comfort seat, rear rack, tank bag, pannier racks, etc. It seems good to go as far as I can tell. Do you have a close approximation of what your bike weighs in at with a tank full of fuel? I'd be interested in knowing that figure. Thanks for the input.

I have never weighed it however with atank full of fuel you can feel it. I would check the gearing depending on what type of riding you will be doing. I have mine geared at 15/45 and it is okay for the trails and will still let you cruise down the road at 110 kph. If you were primarily on forestry road you could increase the front to a 16 tooth.
