Malachi!!!! Pre-sign the divorce papers before you get a 640 for long distance two up. I know a couple that did Belize two up on a KLR, they are now riding a KTM 950.

The 640 will do it, but the 950 would be more to the task. My wife finds the 640 a little more comfortable than the KLR that we used to ride 2 up on and, as with the KLR, we stop fairly often to rest the backside. The 640 does not ride soft and plush like the KLR unless you have it loaded up with gear, otherwise it has a harsh stiff dirtbike like ride that takes getting used to. If you don't plan on doing anything to intense the Suzuki V-Stroms would be a good option.
