Hi, My first time on a forum and my first time owning a single four stroke. Got a problem and many many questions. i JUST bought this bike today, ran good when i went to look at it, drove it a little around the sellers complex, after i got it home i drove around my area and noticed the bike won't rev past 1/3-1/2 throttle. No rpms even at WOT, it just keps cutting out like its getting no fuel. The accelerator pump does work though, you can keep twisting to get speed bt if you hold the throttle in one spot it craps out but is not dying completely. Any insite into this problem would be great before i start tearing into the carbs or engine. thanx.

Hello....The first thing i would do is drain the carb and tap on the float bowl it might be stuck! And check that your carb screws and bolts arent loose.Vaccum leaks can make it run like poo.change the sparkplug and look for spark plug wire damage. Then if that doesnt work drain the gas tank, remove the carb and cleanit outas best you can. If the bike has been sitting for a while the gas is too old and somtimes jells and plugs up the jets.. I would check the wires to the CDI box for corosion and check air flow from the air box.. hope this helps ya....good luck with your new ride...cheers

I agree, especially with draining your float bowl....sounds like water in the bowl to me:tup:
