Anybody using the Sicass racing unit or is everybody sticking with the stock set up,Stock looks like it could be a weak point.Any pics ,comments, improvements.Looking to improve on the stock unit and get something a little cleaner and more woods friendly.

A little trim job on the wings and remove the license plate light and the stick unit works quite well.

The xc-w tailight and plate holder is much tidier. Add the flush mount Sicass signals and you're near bulletproof. Keep the original parts to reinstall when you sell/trade this bike. One thing to bear in mind, the smaller tail light and signals are less visible than stock (although much more visible than a busted stock setup! Lol)

I just cut up my stock setup to tidy it up. I removed the license plate light and drilled a hole through my plate and put a bolt with red threadlock to make sure it stays. You get to keep the brightness of the stock tail light and it looks way cleaner. Also I took off the reflectors and cut the tabs down .

Yeah this is pretty similar to what I was thinkin. The only thing that sorta worries me is the license plate light not being there.Know a guy who didn't have a license plate light on his converted Xr650r and actually had his bike towed in THE DAYTIME all courtesy of a cop nicknamed Ticketmaster.Have you melted down your turn signal behind exhaust, heard this can be an issue. Will prob mod the engine with BDSB goodies.

The way I see it is if you're gonna get that cop that's gonna go all out its not really gonna matter cause hes gonna ding you for anything. The only thing not "legal" on my bike would be that I don't have that light over the plate and I don't have mirrors.

The turn signal is fine if you leave the screen in and don't change the end cap. The direction it points actually doesn't hit the signal but the aftermarket ones point upwards.
