Yes that'll be me....Hehehe...Traded in my Aprilia for it.

I can say I've owned Every Jap brand and one Italian, now Two Austrians....

Gonna stick with the Kraut bikes from now on. Rode her to Renfrew and just loved the bike, has 21000km on it, checked service history on it, all done and runs perfectly.

When over all the issues noted on advriders....this bike good to go. Has new rims, no Soft ones anymore, has Akrapovics on it and it's jetted right...has a remote for the instruments on the left handle bar, of course the hard bags for it (plastic).

Took Barb out for a ride on it, was cold, but she likes the seat (comfy Gel..not her half though) and the pegs aren't sportbike stupid high and no exhaust to melt the boots on. Got the :tup:from her and Now I wait for the snow to F off !!!

Nice bike Glen - You'll love it.

Have the forks been upgraded at all ? Not sure how heavy you are, but I've had to go up 2 sizes on the front springs in an attempt to cure bottoming out - and it still does it, although to a lesser degree.

It seems KTM unusually dropped the ball with the front fork set up. When I measured the static sag with the stock springs, it was 25% !! A quater of the travel just to stand there! Adding my 200lbs meant I was using nearly half the travel before going anywhere.

I think this is most of the trouble with the 'soft rims'. It only took me a couple of k's going down a potholed gravel road to ding the replacement Exel as well.:wi: On my 4th front rim now!

Anyway, check it out and good luck with it.

Cheers Ian:hb:

The trouble is, the bike is so bloody capable, it encourages hooligan behaviour:tup:

Nice bike there Glen. You will love it. I think I know who owned it before you. Guy named Andy. We rode together a couple times when I had my '04 950. Man I miss that bike. :(I am tempted to get another one . I had Wings mufflers (Akra knockoffs) on mine. Take out the baffles if you want to hear them sound real nice. :dude:They are not obnoxious at all without them.

See ya on the logging roads.

Cheers

Richard

My bad! :?

Sparky did mine too. One of the reasons I bought the bike was I knew he would be doing any of the serious servicing of it.

Anyone want to buy a nice '04 Thruxton??

Hey Guys! Can I ask you a quick question? Sparky did the 1st service on my '05 KTM950 & opened the jets which makes it run fantastic but, do you guys have a hard time starting it when its warm? Cold with the choke on it starts right away but after that I have to use the throttle everytime???:spl:

I haven't had any problems otherwise whereas my hubby's is in the shop 4-5 times a year for the stupid starter problem on the S version. Hole shot is a little rusty on the new TSB's.:shoot:

I would appreciate any input on this. BTY my bike has 15500kms on it.

Ps Nice Bike with the GOOOO!!!!!

I just had the torque converter changed on mine (06 950S) What a difference, starts everytime now and it doesn't sound like something trying to come through the engine case :)

Meds were good. I meant torque limiter. Seems the 06 S models have a bad problem with them so they switced it over to an 07. No more starting problems.
