Anyone doing the TCAT section to Calgary?

Hello there, Calgarian here. I'm planning on riding down to Vancouver via the transCanada highway and exploring the island for a couple of days. On the way back to Calgary though, my plan is to ride the TCAT. I rock a gen 2 KLR650 btw.

If anyone is planning this trip sometime in May-June please do let me know and I'll see if I'll tag along with my trusty pig.

Snow is pretty much gone here in AB. I was under the assumption that mid-May to mid-Sept was the perfect window for this sort of ride

Some higher areas in the cariboo still have sledding going on. Really depends if a warm spell hits.

Same goes for Okanagan and Shuswap. Higher passes are still buried but usually open by late May. You might want to keep an eye on the travel restrictions here. Police will be checking for non-essential travel at least until end of May. I might be interested in doing some of the tcat in June if travel opens, for the loop from the north Shuswap down the Okanagan and back up to Revelstoke.

Trans Canadian Adventure Trail (TCAT). The TCAT begins on the eastern coast of Newfoundland the TCAT crosses Labrador, Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.
