The little I found out is its basically last years 250, with a 300 cc motor now, and slightly larger diameter forks....I was hoping husky would add a cog to the gearbox, but no, its still a 5 speed.

I think the WR300 is a bored out WR250 that is used for racing. One of the big buzz bikes for Husky this year is the TE-310, a four stroke fuel-injected enduro/possibly dual sport bike that is kind of cool as it has the flickability of a small 250 in the bush, with a smoother powerband for people who don't want a monster 450 or 510 in the tight stuff. I'm hoping the BMW/Husky merger finally starts to settle down as it has been a nightmare so far for dealers and riders trying to get parts and bikes..:X

It's a great bike. We'll sell lot's and have a demo unit hopefully sooner than later.

My business partner road it at the dealer release show. It's basically just a Wr 250 with a bigger cylinder. The WR 250 was one of our best sellers. Great tractor like power. Very light weight and easy to ride. Ride or demo and you'll buy one with in 3 weeks. They are that good.

Close but WR stands for Wide Ratio ,CR meand Close Ratio. The Japanese copied that from Husky.
