Continue to hack/cut slits along the inner perforated pipe with large flat-head screwdriver and hammer until the chirping stops. It can take 4 or more slits cut at the 12/3/6/9 o'clock positions before she flies away ... damn tweety! :mad3:

I'm just over 3K on my KLR. When does the birdy come to roost?

I started noticing mine, or people riding near me started pointing it out, at around 10K, which seems to be in the range most folks report . After trying a few flathead screwdriver slits along the pipe seam, I essentially ended up mutilating the entire inner perforated sleeve before the bird went and found a new home. Now my bike just sounds like a klr again :p
