Has anyone tried the Christini AWD or owns one? I just put a deposit down for the KTM XC-W 300 Christini taking delivery right at the end of Feb just in time for Bent Spokes

I had to google it, but it sure sounds wild!

I had no idea a awd system even existed for a 2 wheeler bike

Believe it or not i'm told only about 15 lbs, there is a switch to engage/disengage the system and it only draws about a 1/2 HP to run the front wheel

12G's!?!

Hope that's the fully assembled bike and not just the modified frame/forks/drive hub kit. Thats not actually a bad price for a brand new 2WD bike... Hope to find you on the trails sometime, I'd love to drool on it a bit!

I don't think they sell it as a kit. There have been a few write-ups in various magazines in the last couple of years. You don't even know it's a different bike setup until the rear starts to spin, then the front gets power and off/up you GO! You supply them a complete bike and get itback a 2wd. A friend of mine had a pedal bike that had a cruder version of the 2wd system; said it really worked well. If I had the bucks I'd get a Christini and so would he.

yeh 12gs was for a complete Ktm 300 xc-w modified. I did some calculations if i woulda bought the bike in canada and sent the frame to them to get modified it woulda cost about 16k canadian. It woulda cost about the same less the hassle of sending the frame to them.
