considering a used husky - thoughts on it

my boss has a TE610, couple of years old ( 02/03 I think - still waiting for more details) right now its striped out, with no lights, no dash, etc, etc, etc. If I talk nice, I can probably get a decent deal on it, and for me ( short) it seems like kind of an ideal way to get a dirt/dualsport to take the places I'd really rather not take the Buell without having to sacrifice the ability to ride it to the trail head.

so - questions.

any chronic problems for say 2000-2004 model years? known idiosyncrasies? If I fit lights, horn, speedo odo, etc, can the bike be made into a true street legal dualsport ( was it originally??) overall, it lookspretty beat up, but since the boss owns a bike dealership, lets just say its had a primo service schedule, and no lack of parts & spares...geared WAY down, and its a wheelie monster (I'm thinking supermoto material with a spare set of wheels:clap: ). ballpark $$$$ as a reasonable buy?

I really dont know much about huskys other than that they seem well built, and the owners swear by them - constructive input appreciated.
