DR650 GSXR muffler mod

Has anyone done this mod?? im either gonna do this or get a SUPERTRAPP....need more info and tech info-stuff like:a midpipefrom muffler, jetting to use, any welding ?? etc..i got the dyno jets and have a 93 DR650s with the stock carb-i like the idea of astockGSXR can that needs no packing- but is it as good as a race SUPERTRAPP?? what about a spark arrester ??...

It's an easy mod if you can find a stock 01/ 02 GSXR muffler. Only 5 1/2 lbs versus the stocker at 15 lbs.

Ive decided on a HINDLE system[$ 375.00 CAN]... my neighbour behind me is gonna lovehearing me fire up my bike every stinkinmorning :mad3:[cant wait]:hb:its an oval 16 in silencer with the mid pipe- very simular to the JARDINE i put on my 06 KLR once...

Ivesince removed the stock muffler [after trying to bang it off- i had to hacksaw it]the HINDLE pipe is not going on due to the fact the mid- pipe has a weird bend to it so i will save it for a newer DR..for now, i had to put on a FMF can from my KX500[which i sold to my friend yesterday] the outlet diameter is half of the HINDLE but the bike seems to run OK ..i was at the CHILLIWACK bike shop on SAT and the bike prices are jaw-dropping [compared to KELOWNAs]..like a brand-new DR650 is $ 5400!! the prices where 2-3K less than here..:spl:the only bike i liked was a 690 DUKE and a 1976 KZ900..they had a 93 DR650 for sale- it was not as nice as mine but they where asking $3000.00- i paid 2K for mine.
