Does anyone know if I upgrade to a new plastic gas tank if it's leagal on the road. I thought I read somewhere that you need a metal tank. Does anyone know if they are illegal either BC, Canada, USA?

Also I still not sure if the stock seat works with all the aftermarket tanks. Does anyone know?

Any help would be appriciated.

KTM's come stock with plastic tanks and they are legal for the road.

My seat fits perfectly with my acerbis tank on my DRZ.

Most aftermarket tanks are designed with stock seat in mind. The issues are usually the fuel petcock, as the stock setup involves vacuum. I believe the Clarke tank makes use of the stock petcock and is of course lighter and a couple of litres larger. You should try MTR Sportshttp://www.mtrsports.com/home.phpif your interested in the Clarkeor another aftermarket tank.
