Most people respring both ends at the same time, to keep the bike balanced when you hit stuff.start with springs for your weight and go from there. Remember a heavier spring is stronger, not stiffer. Lots get scared off by thinking they are stiffer. A stronger spring with light preload on it is way nicer to ride than a lighter spring, that's wound real tight from to much preload on it,attempting to get rider sag correct. Record where your clickers are now from fully turned in,and you can always go back to these settings if you like. Then start playing around with your compression and rebound settings, and see if you can improve on what you have. I usually go about 3 or 4 clicks at a time (but only do i adjustment at a time,ie: Compression then rebound next etc)and you can usually tell if it's getting better or worse. Good luck, playing with your suspenders is fun and informative.
