Emissions question XR650L

I have a 2009 XR650L.I am going through the process of all the mods to "wake her up".I have a pipe,k&n filter,jet kit.Will a fella get much more power with the smog kit taken off and the (XR's ONLY) plug installed.How much power does the emissions accually take away from this bike?

The octopus[air-injection system]does nothing to the bike to impair it other than it looks awful- get the smog offplate kit-change the gearing to 14/48-the bike is what it is - read APRIL 2009 edition ofDIRT BIKE magazines write up: "dual-sport spectrum"-It has info on XR650L as well as 5 others that are compared about-OH, if you want scary fast power buy a CR500...
