Engine Case 03 DRZ 400s

I went in the house for a minute as my bike was warming up out in the garage. I came out to find it off my bike stand, it was on its lowest setting, and found it on its side. I saw my brokenclutch lever on the floor. No big deal I can replace that. I picked the bike up and noticed oil on the ground. Noooooooooo !

I guess the case savers can only do so much. I went to Valley Motor Sports today and my price on a new engine case is $ 199.95. Does anyone know if thereis anafter market case for the DRZ.

Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks

Scott

Geez Scotty, at least I was riding mine when I dropped it!

That sucks though:(, hope you get it fixed fast and reasonably priced. Did you look on Thumper Talk for cases?

Hey Doug,

My bike stand ended up in the garbage :shoot:I guessthe bike vibration was just enough for it to work itself off the stand...I knew it was to good of a deal on e-bay.

I talked to the bike bandit and they said they needed a part # and might be able to find one. I guess my next place to look will be TT.

I guess JB weld is out of the question...lol

Tom,

How did you get the info from Bike Bandit. I talked to them and they weren't much help at all...lol. I looked the crankcase cover up on a schematic and it had two listings. An 18-1 and an 18-2. How did you know it was the 18-1 ? I just want to make sure I order the right one...

Thanks

Scott
