First Service

Picked up my W.R.450 today and I'm not happy. First off the dipstick and oil fill plug were very loose. These would have vibrated out for sure. I paid to have the spokes tightened and that was not done. I specificaly asked for the valve clearance to be recorded and was told they were within spec. I want to know where the valves are for a reason. I wanted the brakes bled, nope . They must have sprayed a can of chain lube on then taken the bike for a good burn because there was grease everywhere. I don't care how busy they are, do the job correctly or don't take my bike. And don't take my $300.00. Now I wonder what work really was performed. Last time my dealer sees my Visa. I will drive out of Richmond to another Yamaha dealer.

Hey Blackmax:

You have to give us a better hint on who did not do the work on your bike.

We all don't want to have the same experience that you had!

The dealers should take acourse in great service!

I've had good luck so far at G.A Checkpoint in Port Moody. I have bought two WRs there and the mechanics do a good job (so far). The one time I did not have them service my bike I ran into the same problem with another dealer and had to have GACheckpointfix it in the end.I come form the island and drop it off for the day when I am working.
