New(ish) rider, looking to join in on some day rides to start. Live in Chwk, bikes are: 1979 XL250S, 1977 XL350 (project) and taking delivery of a new CRF300 Rally very soon! Looking forward to meeting fellow enthusiasts through DSBC.

Awesome XL250S !!! I have a 1979 XL250R with the giant 23" front wheel. Great to see those old "red" Honda dual-sports still kicking!

I am on the island, so unlikely to be around for day-rides, but good luck with the crf300, it will be a ton of fun (when not on the hwy)

Mine has the 23" front as well, I've heard it's been called a wagon wheel lol. I hear you on the 300 for highway riding, I've just started riding again after a 20 year hiatus so I'm gonna ease into it! Best of luck with your 250, let me know if you need any parts, I've started a bit of a collection...

Always good to have more sources for parts, but the bike is mostly ready to go. Biggest problems are that the carb has been at a buddy's house for cleaning the last 6months and I want to convert the 23" front to a 21" front with parts off of a 1985 XR250R I have available. Then I could actually get a tire that holds air.

The 300 won't be fun on the highway, but it will get you there. Any mods planned for the 300? Let's see a picture when you get it!
